Outstanding food and drinks, service was a bit slow but well worth the wait. The espresso martini was incredible and the Nashville Hot Chicken was the best I ever had. Really cool art on the walls and friendly staff. The drink menu had so many cocktails that I want to try. I'm definitely excited to go back.

First time here after walking by for the three years it’s been open. Cameron was the bartender. I asked him to get creative and have fun, making me an Old Fashioned. He did not disappoint!! The best cocktail of my life. Very cool atmosphere. Music of all genres. Food looks very good. This is my new favorite bar in Portsmouth. Can’t wait to come back next week when I’m in town again.

In town from Memphis and found this spot on Google. The Chicken sandwich was one of the best I have ever had. I normally drink gin and OJ, but decided to try a few of their drinks on the menu and each of them was great.

Went for dinner Friday, and was so good, brunch the next morning. At dinner the atmosphere is lively, but not obnoxious. We shared the Poutine and the Chicken Bucket and it was OUTSTANDING food. SO GOOD. At brunch don’t miss the Short Rib Benedict, and I added an egg to the Mushroom Melt for a creative and delicious take on an egg sandwich. Olivia was lovely… we had her for both meals! Can’t recommend this place enough.

This was a fun find in Portsmouth. My fiancé and wanted to grab a bite to eat somewhere unique and this was it. It has good vibes walking in and the food/drink was delicious.
This place had one of the more unique drink menus I’ve seen. I tried one of their dill/pickle drinks. Even though I love pickles, that drink didn’t do it for me. But it was so creative so definitely work a try! I’d come back to try more things on the menu.

This may be my new favorite spot for cocktails. We got the Bazooka Jane and Well Of Radiance. OMG!!! So good. Sat at the bar and had an excellent bartender. Great service. Very warm and personable. Will definitely be back.

We met family for brunch on a Saturday at noon. There were six of us. I made reservations, but we would have been fine without. Our server Olivia did an excellent job throughout our service. Everyone enjoyed their food. The music was a touch loud for me, but we were still able to hear one another - that is the reason for 4 stars in atmosphere. By the time the entrees arrived, the sun had gone behind some clouds so the rest of my food photos did not make the cut for the review unfortunately.

Brunch perfection was achieved at The Wilder in Portsmouth, thanks to Chef Emily & the team's outstanding cuisine & beverages, paired with Oliva's exceptional service. We began with a bold, savory Bloody Mary, garnished with dill, shrimp, bacon, & homemade pickles. The poutine Benedict with braised short rib was rich and flavorful, while my omelette with goat cheese, caramelized onions, & wild mushrooms, served with crispy hash browns & spicy sausage, was cooked to perfection. Every bite was flawless.

The Wilder is definitely a hidden gem and a spot I would recommend. From the moment I walked in, I loved the ambiance. It has a great vibe, and one thing that really stood out to me was the bar. It might honestly be one of the biggest variety liquor bars I have seen, which makes it even more impressive.
I stopped by for brunch, and everything was amazing. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict was delicious, the smashed burger was full of flavor, and the deviled eggs were a great choice. I also really enjoyed the oyster selection, which tasted fresh and went perfectly with the brunch experience.
Of course, the cocktails were amazing as well. With such a wide variety behind the bar, it is definitely a great place to enjoy a well-made drink.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Overall, The Wilder is a great brunch spot with delicious food, amazing cocktails, a beautiful ambiance, and excellent service. I would definitely recommend stopping by.
